I was browsing his website and thought I would share this piece of info with all the writing enthusiasts out there: Robert Mckee will be in London between the 12th to the 14th November for his three day seminar on "Story". A quiet night in

It has nearly been three weeks since I have left Portugal and started paediatrics...Needless to say I have been busy. First there were the crash courses, then the oncalls and then a case of mild flu. This weekend however I have made the most of it and put my feet up. I did make it out of the house yesterday...I actually bought a very good book by Robert McKee entitled "Story: substance, structure, style, and the principles of screenwriting". I have only read the first fifty pages however it is so far inspiring material. I will not comment any further on the basis of these early pages but it remains exciting reading. I also bought "The Writer's Handbook 2005" which should give me some direction, help me maintain the discipline. Especially as I work full time at the moment, I do most of my writing during whatever time I have spare. Perhaps one day I could make a living out of it, but for now I will thrive on the passion for my craft...
